Abundant regional hunting, fishing, camping and boating can be found
at Sardis Lake, McGee Creek Lake, Pine Creek Lake, Ozzie Cobb Lake and
Clayton Lake. The Kiamichi and Little rivers are known for float
trips, tubing, fishing and a secluded atmosphere.
Deer, turkey, quail and squirrel hunters are
sure to love the Pushmataha Wildlife Area and the Honobia Creek
Wildlife Management Area. Kiamichi Country is a wilderness area
blessed with beautiful blue-smoke mountains, crystal clear lakes,
outlaw caves, rippling waterfalls and high country winters. Just off
the beaten path, things haven't changed all that much since the days
of Jesse James, the Daltons, Belle Starr and others.
If you like chasing those little white
balls, golfing at one of the tree-dotted courses is a great way to
begin or end any perfect day.
